How to Access Your New HEO Systems Server

This guide walks you through the initial setup of your new HEO Game Server, including setting your password, logging in, and joining your server for the first time.

Step 1: Set Your Game Panel Password

Your Game Panel password is separate from your Billing Area password. You must set this before you can log in.

  1. Log in to the Client Area (Billing).
  2. Navigate to Services > My Services and click on your active server.
  3. Scroll down to the Change Password section.
  4. Enter a secure password and click Save Changes.

Step 2: Log in to the Game Panel

  1. Click the Go to Game Panel button (found under the Information tab) or visit ptero.heo-systems.net.
  2. Log in using:
    • Email: The email address you used during signup.
    • Password: The password you just created in Step 1.

Step 3: Start Your Server

Upon logging in, your server will likely be offline.

  1. Click on your server name to open the dashboard.
  2. Click the blue Start button in the console area.
  3. When prompted, click I Accept to agree to the Minecraft EULA.
    • The server will download the latest server software (PaperMC default) and start up.

Step 4: Connect to Your Server

  1. Locate the Address field near the top of the console page.
  2. Click the address (e.g., 192.168.1.1:25565) to copy it.
  3. Launch Minecraft Java Edition.
  4. Click Multiplayer > Add Server.
  5. Paste the address into the Server Address field and click Done.
  6. Double-click your new server to join!

Step 5: Customization (Optional)

Changing Server Version

To switch to Fabric, Forge, or Vanilla:

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Navigate to the Versions tab.
  3. Select your desired server software and version.
  4. Reinstall/Update (Warning: Back up your data first).

Installing Plugins

  1. Navigate to the Plugins tab.
  2. Search for a plugin (e.g., WorldEdit).
  3. Click Install.
  4. Restart the server to apply changes.

Step 6: Managing Players (OP) (Optional)

To give yourself operator permissions (OP):

Method 1: Console

  1. Go to the Console page.
  2. Type: op <your_username> (without the slash /).
    • Example: op Hamziee

Method 2: Players Tab

  1. Go to the Players tab.
  2. Find your username.
  3. Click Manage > Make Operator.
